We hope everyone has had a festive time preparing for the Holiday Season! We certainly have here.   In that spirit, there are a few things that we would like to bring to your attention for the upcoming days and weeks.

First of all, let’s start with a little notification on holiday hours for Corporate.  We are open today from 7:00am to 9:00pm MST.  We’ll be closed Thanksgiving Day.  Friday and Saturday our call center will be open 9:00am to 5:00pm MST, to assist with end of month matters, and to help close out the month with momentum!  Thank you Customer Service!  On that note, it’s important for everyone to remember the second phase of the remodeling bonus ends with the close of this week.  That’s just one more reason to finish strong.  

For those of us here in the good old USA, we would like to encourage you, while you’re perusing the holiday treats, to remember your health:  O3World products to ensure you get healthy portions, and ForeverGreen products to ensure that you’re getting at least a little nutrition density in your diets.  And while you’re at your various gatherings, don’t shy away from opportunities to talk about the fact that you’ve lost ten pounds, and that you look great. Obesity is a growing concern in the United States; overweight rates have doubled among children and tripled among adolescents. This increases the number of years that they are exposing themselves to dangerous health risks associated with obesity.

Here are 20 diseases or conditions that can be attributed to obesity:

1. Diabetes, a disorder where the pancreas is not producing enough or sometimes not any insulin. Diabetes can lead to a whole host of other medical issues and obesity is one of the main causes.

2. Cancer has many different forms and types; many of them could be prevented with more attention to eating healthily and avoiding obesity.

3. Congestive heart failure is a condition in which your heart can’t pump enough blood to your body’s other organs.

4. Enlarged heart is another heart condition where the muscle of your heart becomes larger due to being overworked, which naturally happens if you are overweight.

5. Pulmonary embolism is a sometimes fatal blockage of an artery. Being overweight causes most people to reduce activity, and after time lack of activity can result in an embolism.

6. Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a condition in which cysts develop in your ovaries. These can burst, causing even further problems.

7. Gastro-esophageal reflux disease happens when stomach acid and juices flow from your stomach back up into your esophagus. It is common in overweight people.

8. Fatty liver disease is a reversible condition in which large pockets of fat accumulate in liver cells.

9. A hernia is caused when the hole in the diaphragm weakens and enlarges.

10. Erectile dysfunction is the inability to develop or maintain an erection, which can be caused by a medical problem due to obesity.

11. Urinary incontinence is the inability to control urination. It is frequently associated with obesity, weak bladder and pelvic floor muscles

12. Chronic renal failure, meaning your kidneys fail to work, is a much greater risk to those who are overweight or obese.

13. Lymph edema is a condition that occurs from a damaged or dysfunctional lymphatic system, sometimes caused by people suffering from obesity actually crushing their own lymphatics.

14. Cellulitis is a spreading infection, involving both the dermis and subcutaneous skin tissues, resulting from poor lymph flow caused by obesity.

15. Stroke is caused by a lack of blood supply to your brain.

16. Pickwickian syndrome is characterized by sleep apnea resulting from obesity placing an excessive load on your pulmonary system.

17. Depression is a condition where a person feels miserable constantly, even to the point of being suicidal. It can be worse for someone who also has a weight problem.

18. Osteoarthritis is a clinical syndrome in which low-grade inflammation results in pain in your joints. It is caused by abnormal wearing of the cartilage, oftentimes due to obesity.

19. Gout occurs when uric acid accumulates in your blood. Nerve endings then become irritated, causing extreme pain, which is made worse by carrying extra weight.

20. Gallbladder disease commonly affects overweight people as a result of high blood cholesterol levels, which cause gall stones.

According to a Surgeon General report, obesity is responsible for 300,000 deaths every year in the United States.

For your party you will need:

Enough pens for each guest

 Prior to your party you will need to: 

Set a date Call a few people and tell them you want to have this party and their presence is special to you.   Tell them you want to make sure you set a date that is convenient for them. This way you are seeding your party with a few solid commitments. If you already have a growing team, ask a few key people to help you the night of the party.  This helps you and gives them the experience and confidence for their own party. Complete your guest list (invite 40-50 people to guarantee 10) Think of people who could use this product - Think of people who could use this business Use the memory jogger to help you think of people (attached) Mail out the “Skinny Party” postcard invitations 7-10 days prior to your party date. Set the time for 30 minutes BEFORE you want to start the presentation. Use this time to get to know your guests, eat snacks and get something to drink. This way you will have people at your home on time for the presentation. Call each guest and tell them you are sending them an invitation (Be excited! Do not explain the whole program to them - you are simply inviting!) Keep track of who’s coming on your guest list (attached) Call people the day before to remind them! Very Important!!!  On the day of the party:
Prepare some light snacks (try to keep it healthy) HAVE FUN!!!

Our goal here is to get 5 or more of your guests to register into O3 and agree to host a party, where you will be one of the speakers.  If that happens, and your registrants do the same thing and get 5 of their guests to sign up and agree to host a party, and their registrants do the same thing as you have done, then in a few months you could have several hundred people in your organization receiving REALLY BIG CHECKS from O3!
Skinny Party Presentation:
Kick off the evening by introducing yourself and welcoming everyone to your home. Tell them how excited you are about O3!

Ice Breaker: (this works great! It gets people interacting and laughing together.)  Ask the group “What is the craziest diet you’ve ever been on? What have you done in the past to try to lose weight?”  As they share, write these things down on the white board or flip chart. It makes a great visual of all the crazy things we’ve done to lose weight. It shows them that people want to lose weight and they will pay anything and do anything to lose that weight. This also shows them the huge market potential we have in O3!  Ask the group “Would you agree that we have a market here for safe and simple weight loss?”  Share some statistics about being overweight or obese:  2/3 of Americans are overweight That’s 133.6 million adults over the age of 20 From 1960-2004, the prevalence of being overweight increased from 44.8% to 66% Obesity more than doubled during that time period from 13.3% to 32.1% In 2002, 92.6 BILLION dollars were spent on medical care due to being overweight or obese. In 2007, 1% of overweight people spent 5 billion dollars on gastric bypass surgery

The main causes of being overweight have nothing to do with genetics, metabolism, hormonal imbalances, pharmaceutical drugs or stress.

 Ask the group what they think the top TWO causes of being overweight are.

Answer: the top two reasons are always listed as
1) not being active enough and
2) overeating!
